It was the late 1970's when a small group of cyclists in Austin, TX decided to take on a unique challenge and satisfy a desire for their two favorite things... riding bikes and drinking great tasting beer. It was at that moment in time when the GASP was born. Throughout the years GASP has evolved into one of the biggest, best bike rides in the state of Texas and beyond while at the same time ensuring the small town feel of its roots are not lost. Get ready to hop and your bike, ride a pretty long way and have a great time. We'll see you in Shiner!
Riders may drop 1 small soft-sided drop bag (nothing valuable, please!) at the start in Shiner Brewery. Please attach your provided ride number to your bag. Please bring a valid driver's license or government ID if you plan to consume any beer. Beer servers will ID anyone who looks under 30 years of age.
Riders may park at Kaspar Wire works lot or on side streets across the street from the Brewery, or in town just a few blocks south of the Brewery.
Some people drop off their car the day before the ride. If you choose to do this, please park in the fields to the south of the brewery or in town at the plaza and not in the brewery parking lot. We are not responsible for cars parked overnight prior to the ride!
